Features

1/4-20 (M6) and 8-32 (M4) End Threads

The post joints are compatible with our standard optical posts and pedestals. The English version has a 1/4-20 tapped hole at one end and an 8-32 tapped hole at the other. The metric version has a M6 tapped hole at one end and an M4 tapped hole at the other.

Securely Mount Components at Any Orientation

Our Model 9940 flex-lock post securely holds a wide range of optical tools, including cameras and detectors, with any orientation. This double hinged post can support more than a 100 in-lbs (11 N•m) of torque in any configuration and is compatible with standard post holders and accessories for 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) optical posts. Each threaded end of the joint rotates 360° about its own axis and 360° about the central axis, and swings 90° to the side. A single screw simultaneously locks both joints to hold a desired orientation.

Jointed Optical Post Provides Lockable 360° Orientations

The DJP-1 Double-Jointed Utility Post provides a full 360° of flexibility to mounting with optical posts. This jointed post has two ball-and-socket terminated arms, each threaded end rotating 360° about its own and central axes and swinging 90° to the side, to provide the most versatility in angular positioning. A single locking knob secures the double-jointed post in position. The DJP-1 provides a wide variety of non-standard mounting options for optical systems and mounted components.

The Perfect Microscope or Camera Stand

You’re at the point where you can’t seem to position your camera or microscope at the one perfect angle so you can see your sample. Our 360° adjustable optical post joints can solve your problem. For years professional photographers have been using double-ball joints to position their cameras. With the flex-lock post, we’ve brought this concept into the lab. This double ball-jointed positioner can be used in conjunction with 1/2" posts to hold a component, such as a camera, at any location and orientation. Once your object is in position, a single screw simultaneously locks all joints.
