Our 0.7 in. Optical Pedestals system offers a compact alternative to conventional-sized fixed pedestals, with a solid stainless-steel construction for sturdy mounting. The pedestal system is compatible with all Newport's mounts, including the New Focus Tiny™ Mounts. The four tallest pedestals available have an 8-32 (or M4) threaded hole in each end for mounting optics components or combining posts. Model 9942 (M-9942 for metric) has a 2-56 (M2) threaded hole in one end and an 8-32 (M4) threaded hole on the other to accommodate the Tiny Mount Series.

The slotted design of the pedestal clamping forks provides the flexibility of positioning pedestals in arbitrary locations on optical tables despite mounting hole patterns. These stainless steel clamps are sold with (Models 9947 and 9947-M) and without (Model 9947-X) a captive 1/4-20 (M6) screw.

The Model 9942 Small pedestal, with a #2-56 threaded hole on the top end, is required for use with Tiny mounts (987X and 976X). The Model 9942 pedestal can stack with other Small pedestals for proper height adjustment.
