Fiber Bundle Ferrules
Most Oriel Fiber Bundles use 11 mm ferrules. Having a common external bundle diameter simplifies coupling and positioning. Convert SMA or ST terminations to 11mm ferrules to make them compatible with Oriel accessories. Also, the ferrules described here may be added to third-party fiber assemblies and liquid light guides.

For those with SMA terminations, we offer the model 77670 to convert the termination type to be compatible with our standard fiber holders. You can also convert any third-party fiber with an SMA termination.

Model 77641 ferrule converter
Third party fibers and liquid light guides with cylindrical terminations may be converted to standard Oriel 11mm terminations by use of these ferrules. This allows them to be compatible with Oriel's wide array of fiber coupling accessories. These standard Fiber Optic Ferrules are aluminum cylinders that attach to the tips of fiber bundles, using set screws. Contact Newport Sales for more information on OEM opportunities.
