Our single ND filter wheels can be ordered empty or with two different sets of ND filters installed. Our dual ND filter wheel can also be ordered empty or with filters pre-installed.

Our 5214 and 5215 pre-loaded wheels include 1.0 inch diameter filters made with Inconel metallic coatings on glass substrates. The filters are permanently built-into the filter wheel with epoxy. The filter positions are mechanically indexed for precise positioning. We mount the filters at a slight angle to reduce étalon effects, although there will be some residual étalon effects for beam diameters greater than a few millimeters.

The 5253 and 5254 empty wheels safely hold individual filters in place by the included retaining rings which feature 1.040-32 thread and 20.7 mm clear aperture. This makes changing individual filters quick and easy. The filter positions are mechanically indexed for precise positioning.

All our ND-filter wheels have an 8-32 (M4) clearance hole so they can mount directly to a post or pedestal riser using imperial or metric threads.
