The BTP translating optical posts are designed to provide quick and precise height adjustment of an optical device mounted on top of the post within an optical setup. Compared to conventional height adjustment in a post and post holder setup, this translating post allows more precise up and down movements of the optical component by rotating the adjustment collar which is easily done by one hand. The upper body of the post doesn't rotate when translated. When the desired optical height is achieved, the integrated lock ring can lock the post in place, preventing unintended adjustment of the post.

The BTP translating optical posts have an 8-32 (M4) threaded hole at the top and a 1/4-20 (M6) threaded hole at the bottom which allows direct mounting to an optical table. If a higher optical axis height is needed, the BTP post can be stacked with a standard 0.5 in. optical post or used with an optical post holder that provides coarse height adjustment.
