Product Series Overview
Single Mode Fibers for Visible Through Near IRThe F-SMF-28 Single-Mode Fiber from Corning (SMF-28e+) is all-glass and supports single-mode light propagation for a 1310/1550 nm operating wavelength. Optimized for access and metro networks, this fiber is compliant with Recommendation ITU-T G.652.D. This low attenuation, step-index fiber has a uniform core refractive index and a matched-clad profile. It has a 0.14 NA, 9.2 μm Mode Field Diameter and 1310 nm, and a 125 μm Cladding Diameter.
This bare fiber does not include a protective fiber jacket. Standard pricing is per meter. The following volume discount schedule is applied when ordering continuous lengths of optical fiber: 10 - 49 m: 15%, 50 - 99 m: 22%, 100 - 499 m: 25%, and ≥ 500 m: 28%.
Medium and High NA Available
These specialty fibers are available with medium and high Numerical Aperture (NA) to give dramatically reduced bend losses in comparison with telecoms fibers. This allows smaller packaging sizes to be achieved, particularly useful for coiled sensors and the next generation small form factor telecoms equipment.

Use Model Number F-PATCH-CUSTOM to configure a custom fiber-optic patch cord using these fibers. You can specify the fiber type, length, jacketing, and input and output connectors.
