Optical Fiber, Single Mode, Jacketed, 1310/1550 nm, 0.13 NA

The F-SMF-28-C Single-Mode Fiber from Corning is all-glass and supports single-mode light propagation for a 1310/1550 nm operating wavelength. This low attenuation, step-index fiber has a uniform core refractive index and a matched-clad profile. It has a 0.14 NA, 9.2 μm Mode Field Diameter at 1310 nm, and a 125 μm Cladding Diameter. Typical applications include sensors, instrumentation, device pigtailing, and light delivery.
This fiber has a 900 μm jacket surrounded by a layer of Aramid yarn for extra protection. A 3 mm outer PVC cable jacket provides additional environmental protection. Standard pricing is per meter. The following volume discount schedule is applied when ordering continuous lengths of optical fiber: 10 - 49 m: 15%, 50 - 99 m: 22%, 100 - 499 m: 25%, and ≥ 500 m: 28%.
