Monochromator, 1/4m, UV-SWIR Extended Range Quad Grating, Micrometer Slits, Dual Output

The CS260B-Q-MC-D is a high performance, economical, and user-friendly monochromator. It has been completely revamped and refreshed from the legacy CS260-Q-MC models. Based on the same optical design as its predecessor, this is a replacement with updated looks and upgraded functionality.

By integrating a Newport motion stage, scan speed is faster, as well as wavelength accuracy and precision is greatly increased over the original models. A robust mechanical design and optical mounting configuration has increased rigidity and reproducibility. This model includes both USB and RS232 communication ports.

The instrument is fully calibrated with four pre-configured gratings, and includes a built-in shutter. The input and output ports are pre-configured with micrometer driven slits. It is designed to be compatible with Oriel Filter Wheel model USFW-100 and the 74009 hand controller.

Mounting plates are available to fasten the monochromator conveniently to an optical table, or to couple with Oriel’s popular Research Lamp Housings.

To help increase the longevity of the instrument, Newport recommends returning the monochromator to the factory periodically for re-calibration and service. We also offer the opportunity to change gratings or slit configurations during this factory service.
