New Thick Optics Adapter, U500 Mirror Mount, 3-5 mm Thickness

ULTIMA® Low Wavefront Distortion Mirror Mounts

The U500-3MM-ADAPT adapter ring allows for optics as thin as 3 mm to be mounted in ULTIMA^® U500 5 inch mirror mounts. The U500-3MM-ADAPT sits between the optic and the optic mounting brackets to securly hold the optic without requiring a typical threaded retaining ring. When paired with the reversible optic mounting brackets which come standard with the U500 models, the U500-3MM-ADAPT's unique stepped design allows for flexible optic mounting for every optic thickness between 3 and 31 mm. This is the broadest range of optic thicknesses supported by a single Newport mount.

Expanded Optic Compatibility

The U500-3MM-ADPT is designed to be used in conjunction with the Ultima U500 Series of Large Mirror Mounts. The U500-3MM-ADPT Adapter Ring acts as a spacer to allow thin 5-inch diameter optics to be mounted in the U500. When used in tandem with the reversible mounting brackets which come standard on all U500 models, the mount can accomodate any thickness of optic between 3 mm and 31 mm easily.
