Optic Rotation Mount, Gimbal Tip-Tilt, 25.4 mm, 100 TPI

The GM-1RA Gimbal Rotation Mount provides tip/tilt positioning for 1 in. (25.4 mm) wave plates, polarizers, and beamsplitter cubes.  This mount is unique due to its gimbled tip/tilt mechanism which allows angular adjustment of the optic without unwanted translation.  We've also added a number of enhancements. Precise, 100 TPI adjustment screws on the tip/tilt mechanism feature new knobs, including an integral hex hole, to allow smooth adjustment with increased sensitivity. New independent locks for each axis help maintain stable optical alignment. The integrated rotation stage has a full ball bearing race providing continuous 360° rotation with graduations marked in 2° increments. We've moved the scale to the same side as the knobs to make it easier to read during adjustment. Tightening the screw on the end of the knob securely locks rotation. Each unit is supplied with a Delrin retaining ring for mounting an optic. The GM-1RA can be attached directly to a table using the slotted base plate included, which will attach to either side of the mount. Both English and Metric tapped holes in the bottom of every unit allow for post mounting. The rotation stage can be removed from the tip/tilt mechanism by removing four screws, allowing the rotation stage to be reversed or used independently. Mounting holes are provided on the rotation stage for both mounting to an optical table and post mounting. A 1/2 inch diameter polarizer or waveplate can be mounted to the GM-1RA mount using the PRA-05 Adaptor, which screws into the rotator's 1.063-20 thread. The PRA-05 Adaptor includes a retaining ring.
