Infrared Emitter, 9 Watt

The 6580 is a 9 watt infrared (IR) emitter for use with Oriel's Q Series and Research Series lamp housings. The 6580 utilizes a high temperature, oxidation resistant wire which is tightly wound on a grooved alumina support mandrel. Its radiating area is concentrated over 0.14 square inches (3.6 mm). Unlike some other types of light sources which emit IR radiation, the 6580 is a convenient and economical design with sufficient radiant output and spectral uniformity to be of practical use in IR instrumentation applications. Install the emitter into the lamp housing using the 60048 Socket Adapter, ordered separately.
