Dual Wedge Fine GDD and CEP Tuning Application Set-up

The Mounted Wedges Setup is a precision optical system designed for fine dispersion and Carrier Envelope Phase (CEP) tuning in ultrafast laser applications. Using ultrathin glass wedge pairs with broadband antireflection coatings, this setup enables continuous group delay dispersion (GDD) control over a wide dynamic range. Available in two wedge angles and sizes, the system integrates seamlessly into standard optical mounts for compact and stable alignment.

FemtoOptics™ Wedges for Dispersion Tuning

FemtoOptics Dispersion Wedges offer high-precision control of GDD and CEP in ultrafast systems. Designed for use at near-normal incidence, these ultrathin wedges provide fine, continuous dispersion tuning without introducing angular deviation. The small wedge angle and extended length allow for precise GDD control. When used in pairs, angular dispersion is eliminated, making them ideal for high harmonic generation, attosecond pulse generation, and CEP tuning. Mounted versions fit easily into Newport’s 1- or 0.5-in. mirror mounts or lens holders. The broadband AR coating minimizes insertion losses, and additional losses can be reduced by using Brewster’s angle alignment.Applications
