Features

Compatible with Agilis Nanopositioners

Agilis motion controllers are used to drive Agilis nanopositioners. An Agilis optical mount is driven by 2 piezo motors whereas, an Agilis linear or rotation stage are driven by one piezo motor only.

Hand-held 2-axes Piezo Motion Controller

The Agilis AG-UC2 controller provides convenient push button remote control and USB computer control for two Agilis axes. For each axis, the AG-UC2 controller features two sets of push buttons, the top for step size settings and the bottom set for precise, low speed adjustments and fast coarse motion. Power is supplied through the USB port and if not available, the USB-CH power supply can independently power the Agilis controller. USB hubs may also be used for power and communication, but must provide the required 5 V supply, e.g. must have an external power supply. A virtual GUI that comes with the controller, allows the user to mimic the remote operation of the controller buttons through the computer. The GUI provides the ability to select another AG-UC2 controller and operate the connected Agilis stages. ASCII commands, a Windows DLL and LabVIEW™ VI's for all functions are provided.

Compact 8-axes Piezo Motion Controller

The Agilis AG-UC8 Piezo motion controller provides USB computer control of up to 8 Agilis axes. Power is supplied through the same USB port used for communication. USB hubs may also be used for powering and communication, but must provide the required 5 V supply, e.g. must use an external power supply. A virtual software utility allows selecting any channel (1 to 4), that drives either of the two piezo motors (1&2 or 3&4, etc.), one channel at a time. Apart from selecting the active motor pairs, the AG-UC8 uses the same ASCII-commands, DLL and LabVIEW™ VI's as the AG-UC2. An LED indicates the current controller status. Two holes in the controller allow stacking of several controllers and attachment to optical tables.

OEM Versions

The AG-UC2-OEM 2-axis controller is designed to be integrated into OEM equipment by mounting directly onto your printed circuit board. If appropriately multiplexed, it can be used switch between Agilis nanopositioners that have been embedded into your system. The AG-UC8PC 8-axis controller provides the same features and functions as the AG-UC8 controller, but comes as a PC card for flexibility in assembly. In addition to the mini-USB connector, the AG-UC8PC provides a HE10 connector for RS-232 and RS-485 communication. In small, compact platforms, these OEM boards provide convenient control adjustments of Agilis components that you can easily interface with and build into your device, instrument, or laboratory setup.

LabVIEW™ and Windows DLL Support

For greater flexibility and to program the controllers yourself, Window DLL, LabVIEW™ VIs, and ASCII commands for all functions are provided.

Windows Application for Plug-and-Play Use

Included with the Agilis controllers is an intuitive graphical user interface Windows software application to facilitate quick, user-friendly motion control through the controller's USB interface.
