Fiber-Optic Receiver, 630-1620 nm InGaAs Detector, 38 GHz, FC/PC Singlemode

The 1474-A Fiber-Optic Receiver is the first off-the-shelf high speed photoreceiver that allows you to measure even the weakest of signals at high speed. This is our fastest amplified unit with 38 GHz bandwidth and is suitable for use with singlemode fiber over a wide wavelength range. The 1474-A is AC-coupled.

An external power supply, which must be purchased separately, is required – we recommend our power supply. Power supply cables and are included with each detector.

Instrument Quality in a Small Package

The small size of the modules allows you to connect them directly to your test instrument or another high-speed component. This eliminates the need to follow the photoreceiver with coaxial cable, which can distort time-domain waveforms and attenuate CW microwave signals.

Low-Noise Amplifier

The amplifier combines moderate gain and low noise to reduce the input-referred noise floor of your system. It also maintains linearity at high output levels, providing a high dynamic range.
